Gustavo Dudamel is one of the great Mahler conductors and has consistently thrilled audiences with his passionate and precise interpretations of this music with the Berlin Philharmonic.

This season, Gustavo Dudamel returns with Mahler’s Seventh Symphony—a work that remains memorable, among other things, for its atmospherically dense, shadowy nocturnal music.

Gustavo Dudamel himself has described the symphony as “cosmic” and as a “book of life”: “It simply has everything: funeral music, sarcasm, grandeur, chaos, beauty.” The South American conductor has even discovered tango-like sounds in the monumental score.
