Vacation offer for children aged 8-13

On this day, the Germanic farmstead—complete with a combined living and barn house, a granary, and a weaving shed—comes to life in the museum garden. Children learn how people used to live here.

Together, participants will try their hand at making a fire, grinding flour with millstones and baking bread from it, and—with a little skill—weaving a beautiful border using a weaving comb. In the courtyard, children can watch a demonstration of flax processing and join in. The process and tools used—from the plant to the finished garment—are demonstrated. Of course, the freshly baked bread is tasted at the end.
