a solo for two men
The motif of the doppelgänger is both irritating and fascinating: Its appearance blurs the boundaries between the self and the other. The doppelgänger questions notions of similarity and difference, problematising the subject and its identity.
»isson« is dedicated to contrasts: reality and illusion, light and shadow, restlessness and tranquillity. Two realities that cannot be separated. The dream is not the other reality; it glides over both, illuminating or darkening them. Shadows are a gloomy zone created by opaque bodies that refract the rays of a light source. The opaque resists the passing light.
