38th International Festival Berlin
Tanz im August, Berlin’s summer festival for international dance performances, will once again serve as a platform for the full spectrum of current developments in contemporary dance in 2026. Presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer, the festival will once again present its program at various venues across Berlin and offer opportunities for encounters and discussions.

One of the program highlights is “Sounding Light,” a work by choreographer Cheng Tsung-lung for Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan.
Tanz im August also presents the premiere of “Bat Dances,” the latest work by Kareth Schaffer & Jonas Hauer. In addition, the choreography “Bruits Marrons” by Calixto Neto will celebrate its German premiere.
The full program of Tanz im August 2026 will be announced in early June.
