Berlin Mental Health Film Festival

For the sixth time, the Go Mental! International Mental Health Film Festival is bringing powerful films, moving stories, and open conversations about mental health to Berlin. From May 21 to 24, 2026, the festival will focus on mental health, creative expression, and humanity in action.

The festival brings together cinema, mental health, and community.

Highlights include:

• A powerful program of international short and feature films

• An awards ceremony on Saturday evening for the best short films

• A donation-based breathwork and journaling session

• A community event for filmmakers on film funding in cooperation with Berlin Film Community and Voices With Impact (Vancouver, Canada) to foster exchange and new collaborations

Opening Night with a Star-Studded Lineup

The festival kicks off with two impressive films:

  • "Undelivered," a moving drama by David Lester, starring Ann Dowd (The Handmaid's Tale, Hereditary).
  • "The Madmen Coach," this year’s winner in the Best Feature Film category, a poignant work by director Carlo Liberatore.

Highlight: Awards Ceremony on Saturday Evening

On Saturday evening, the best short films will be honored during a festive awards ceremony. In addition, the festival creates space for connection: with a donation-based breathwork and journaling session, as well as a community event on film funding in collaboration with Voices With Impact (Vancouver, Canada) and Berlin Film Community.

Go Mental! stands for a new culture of dialogue about mental health—artistic, open, and international.
