Finojet’s songs are the perfect treat for all indie-folk fans who aren’t afraid of big emotions. He demonstrates this not only with his first solo single, “Your Monaco,” released in 2025, but above all with his self-titled debut album, “Finojet,” which he released that same year. With atmospheric soundscapes, the eleven songs on the debut captivate with personal narratives in which the artist doesn’t shy away from sharing intimate moments from his life and placing them at the heart of the record.

As the son of musician Xavier Rudd, Finojet’s passion for music was literally instilled in him from birth. From an early age, it was clear that for the Australian, all paths led to the stage; the only question Finojet Rudd had to answer for himself first was “How?”

His career initially began as part of the indie rock band Calypso Cora, where he first gained attention in the local alternative scene with a harmonious blend of Brit-rock, ska-reggae, and indie.

Just one year later, however, he launched a solo project under his first name, Finojet, and in no time at all had found his signature sound, which wraps around his listeners like a warm embrace.

The album “Finojet” combines anthemic indie-folk hooks with quieter singer-songwriter elements and captivates with uncompromising emotion—which creates particularly intense moments for the audience, especially on the live stage.

Finojet’s concerts are remarkably energetic, thanks to the passionate indie guitars that so often make his sound grand and epic, and they alternate between quiet guitar moments and extroverted crowd interactions. The multi-instrumentalist plays several instruments and usually brings various guitars, percussion, and loops along with him.

Anyone who’s now eager to see the Australian in action will have the chance this fall. That’s because Finojet is coming to Germany in October to present his debut album—and maybe even a new song or two—live.
