Amber & the Moon strike a balance between delicate acoustic arrangements and expansive soundscapes—always enveloped in a mysterious atmosphere. At the heart of it all is the warm, melancholic voice of singer and guitarist Ronja, who creates a sonic world that oscillates between comfort and longing through haunting melodies and poetic lyrics. Stylistically, Amber & the Moon moves between Boygenius and Kings of Convenience while remaining unmistakably unique.

What began as Ronja’s solo project gradually evolved into an organic band dynamic. Their creative process is characterized by retreat and reflection: initial sketches often emerge in the silence of nature before being refined together in the studio.
In particular, the vocal harmonies of lead singers Ronja and Jonathan lend the music a special intimacy and evoke comparisons to Damien Rice & Lisa Hannigan or Angus & Julia Stone. The band is complemented by experienced Hamburg-based studio and session musicians Ben Schadow and Torben Sdunek.
