Outstanding female photographers have shaped the medium from the very beginning. At the Bauhaus, too, the camera became a tool for female self-determination.

Navigating artistic experimentation, conservative gender roles, emancipation, and the professional identity of the female photographer, this curatorial tour conducted over the phone explores the issues that shape today’s perspective on Bauhaus photographers.

The telephone tour provides access to the motifs on site and contextualizes their creation within the tensions of the Weimar Republic. It is aimed particularly at people with visual impairments and those who are unable to visit the exhibition in person.

Participation in the tour is free of charge.
