Every second Sunday of the month at 3 p.m., a public walking tour of the Berlin-Karlshorst neighborhood takes place. During the
Cold War, Karlshorst served as an important command center. After the war ended in May 1945, it became a Soviet restricted area. The Soviet military administration, intelligence services, and military units were stationed here. Later, the Stasi and border control for the Berlin Wall were added.
The tour takes you to the former sites of secret and military facilities along Zwieseler Straße, Arberstraße, Bodenmaiser Weg, and Köpenicker Allee.
