Sharlie Cheen Bar
Extraordinary cocktails in the twilight
Located right on Rosenthaler Platz, the Sharlie Cheen Bar is a modern cocktail bar with a playful twist. The cocktail menu is designed like the diary of a fictional playboy – the bar’s namesake – and combines original creations with classics. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, the team will be happy to advise you, and you can start your night out in Berlin with a bespoke drink in the bar’s cosy, dim lighting.
Modern mixology using premium spirits
A glance behind the bar makes it clear that the team at Sharlie Cheen Bar specialises in outstanding cocktails . Brightly lit, an array of unusual spirits is lined up here, each revealing its full flavour profile in the bar’s original creations. The syrups are cooked in-house during the week and the infusions are also homemade – the ingredients range from mint and berries to bacon …
Creative interior meets creative concept
The only thing this bar has in common with Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen is the pun in the name. Short-sleeved shirts, flip-flops and Malibu aesthetics are nowhere to be seen here. The interior décor is dark, with unusual artwork adorning the walls and a beehive-like light installation hanging from the ceiling. And the fictional playboy Sharlie Cheen has nothing else in common with his namesake: he was born somewhere in Europe in 1915 and, fortunately, left his diary to the bar on Rosenthaler Platz to serve as a cocktail menu.
Our tips
- If you can’t find what you’re looking for on the bar’s cocktail menu, the bartenders will be happy to mix you bespoke drinks using your favourite ingredients.
- In summer, we recommend arriving a little earlier – the spots on the small terrace are snapped up quickly.
