House of Music

Creative hub of Berlin’s music scene

The House of Music is neither a traditional club nor a dedicated concert or studio venue: it is all of these things at once, and much more besides. Following extensive renovation work, it is now housed in an old wheel-turning workshop on the RAW site and offers creatives a place to come together. Since 2019, regular events there have been attracting a diverse crowd – from morning till night!

A creative hub on the historic RAW site

The House of Music (HoM) opened its doors just a few years ago. Despite this short time, it has already secured a firm place in the heart of Berlin’s creative scene. The HoM is housed in a newly renovated, historic industrial building. In addition to numerous studio and event spaces, there is also a co-working space, a café and rooms for seminars, meetings and more – an open space for Berlin’s music scene and its audience.

A diverse programme of events

The regular concert evenings on the HoM Stage at the House of Music are, of course, a hit with the public. But the events calendar is by no means limited to show business. Community evenings such as the popular House of Music Quiz, exhibitions or public conferences on the future of nightlife make the HoM a hub for artists and anyone interested in creative topics.

Our tips

  • You can book the so-called Noisy Rooms as rehearsal spaces at the House of Music at reasonable prices.
  • Many artists who perform on the HoM Stage rehearse in the same building: so the audience often gets to experience the moment when new music is played live for the very first time.
  • The RAW site surrounding the House of Music is an experience in itself: street art, bars, food trucks and small stages transform the area into a festival labyrinth.

Your visit to the House of Music

The House of Music is located in the heart of the RAW site in Friedrichshain. You can easily reach the HoM by S-Bahn (S3, S5, S7, S9) or the U1/U3 to S+U Warschauer Straße, from where it is just a few minutes’ walk. The M10 tram also stops in the immediate vicinity. The RAW site itself is a vibrant cultural hub with clubs, rehearsal rooms, street art and open-air spaces. In the surrounding area, the East Side Gallery, the Oberbaum Bridge and numerous bars invite you to explore and linger.
