Filmreihe 2030 presents:
The north-east of Germany, bordering on Poland, has always been characterised by agriculture and the people living there are strongly connected to nature, whether in its original or economically used form. Like everywhere else, the changes in politics are also reflected in this region:
While the abolition of the agricultural production cooperatives in the GDR was followed by a period of calm in which the fields were able to recover from heavy use and the established farmers increasingly converted to organic farming, interest in the northern German soil has since increased again, and it is not uncommon for pieces of land to be sold by the state to large investors who decisively change the landscape: Wind turbines are being erected, monocultures and animal fattening farms are springing up, biogas plants are being built. In his documentary, director Volker Koepp focuses on the people who live here: How do the changes affect their everyday lives, their work and their well-being?
With six impressive documentaries on biodiversity, species conservation, sustainable agriculture and mobility, we cordially invite you to the open-air summer cinema on Stone Square.
After the films, you will have the opportunity to talk directly with committed actors. The Culinary Kiosk will introduce itself and offer drinks, snacks and information on sustainable nutrition and consumption. A cinema experience in August for young and old.
The event is free of charge, limited number of participants. Remaining tickets at the box office. The current hygiene measures apply. Due to the pandemic, registration is necessary in advance. Admission to the event is only possible upon presentation of the free ticket.
