“Take off your shoes,” “Women rule the world,” “In this moment”—titles that made the exceptional artist Roger Cicero unforgettable.

When his album “Männersachen” (Men's Stuff) was released in 2006, no one could have predicted that the combination of big band sound and German lyrics would have such a lasting impact on the music scene. Swing in the pop charts—that was unprecedented—and his performance at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest remains unforgettable.

It was a tragedy that this fantastic singer was only 46 years old. His far too early death was a tremendous shock to all his fans, colleagues, family, and friends.

In 2026, the tenth anniversary of Roger Cicero's death approaches. This is reason enough for his former bandmates to musically reminisce about their time together and take the audience on a journey through time—including the years before “Männersachen.” With swing, soul, and groove, and of course, the powerful big band sound under the experienced direction and with arrangements by keyboard virtuoso Lutz Krajenski.

The wonderful Atrin Madani will be joining us as vocalist. A Berlin musician from a young generation of fantastic jazz artists, he is impressively reinventing the genre while remaining true to its traditions. Madani, who says he was musically influenced by Cicero's music, interprets the songs in his own unique way, paying tribute, together with the former backing band, to a musician who, in the short time of his life, brought joy to so many people both on and off stage, and continues to do so today.
