Authors from the Suhrkamp publishing house read from Siegfried Unseld's letters

For half a century, Siegfried Unseld sent numerous letters every day. Today, the archives contain over 50,000 handwritten or dictated letters.

From this wealth, the editors have selected 100 exemplary letters and commented on them knowledgeably. What Siegfried Unseld told Ingeborg Bachmann, Samuel Beckett, Ignatz Bubis, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Max Frisch, Henry Kissinger, authors, publishers and journalists not only reflects Unseld's thinking.

These letters impressively and diversely document the intellectual history of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The authors: Ulrike Edschmid, Christoph Hein, Julia Jost, Christoph Möllers, Sasha Marianna Salzmann, Judith Schalansky.

Moderation: Dr. Jan Bürger

A cooperation with Suhrkamp publishing house.
