Documentary film

On 11 February 2026, the Babylon Cinema will be showing the documentary film A Single Day.

The film portrays the internal and external conflicts experienced by a former US soldier who turns against his military environment in response to the actions of his own troops.

It highlights the personal consequences of moral courage within hierarchical power structures, questioning the moral responsibility of individuals in armed conflicts.

Against the backdrop of current social debates on conscription and military ethics, the film contributes to the ongoing dialogue surrounding obedience and conscience. A Single Day highlights the psychological and ethical challenges of soldiering, encouraging critical reflection on the role of the military in the present day.

Following screenings in the Rhineland, the documentary is now celebrating its Berlin premiere.
