Hour of the imposter

Felix - the lucky one - the son of a bankrupt sparkling wine producer, is a master at playing people exactly what they want to see in him. His happiness is being able to be everything in a world of forgeries that no longer knows the truth. So he is what he seems authentic, by deceiving, expert of creative self-promotion.

Director and author Alexander Eisenach will write a piece about the figure of the impostor as the epitome of the modern man who is constantly staging himself (premiere in December). As a prelude to this, he deals with the corresponding prime example of literary history: Felix Krull - Thomas Mann's ravishing parody of an artistry of brilliant externalities, which in the end produce exactly what they are not: life itself - a real hoax.
