ensemble mosaik
An impressive, sensual, and gripping evening with the ensemble mosaik in which music, image, and song merge into a unique performance.
With "TRANSFER," the renowned ensemble mosaik presents the world premiere of a new full-length work by composer Volker Heyn at Radialsystem—for mezzo-soprano, 15 instrumentalists, electronic components, and partially animated video projections.
"TRANSFER" references Upton Sinclair's 1906 exposé novel "The Jungle." Both the novel and the composition illuminate the unethical practices of industrial meat production, to which both the predominantly migrant workers and the animals being processed are subjected.
The world premiere of "TRANSFER" is a multimedia concert.
Animations based on Heyn's own drawings are created by media designer Valerie Epet and integrated into the musical performance. The solo part will be performed by soprano Anna Clare Hauf, with musical direction by Enno Poppe.
