re:organ - Laboratory for new organ sounds
Dominik Susteck and Tobias Hagedorn work from a close artistic perspective, in which improvisation, electronics, and visual processes intertwine as equally important elements.
Further Information/Special Notes: The music works with more or less abstract sounds and tones. Alongside the organ, electronics are used, sometimes abstractly, sometimes very concretely: everyday sounds and noises flow into the musical performance, become briefly recognizable, and then dissolve again. This interplay of recognition and disappearance forms a central element of the evening's appeal.
Live videos are created in conjunction with the sounds, developing analogously to the music. Moving shapes, circles, rectangles, light, and colors react to the performance, adding a visual dimension to the perception, placing the listening experience in a new context. Thus, not only a soundscape is created, but a space of colors, figures, and forms that makes the church appear in a changed light.
