SUND - Freshwater

A strait – from the Old English *sundan* (to swim) and Old Norse *sundr* (separated, apart) – refers to a body of water wide enough to swim across, a narrow passage.

This program features new and recent works for solo harp by composers of a young generation who work with unconventional sounds, expanded playing techniques, and surprising objects such as cassette tapes, videotapes, glasses of water, or a massage device.

A refreshing addition to the repertoire, with which Miriam Overlach boldly ventures into the unknown.

  • Miriam Overlach, harp

  • Works by Eveline Vervliet, Ruud Roelofsen, Liza Lim, Wilbert Bulsink, Francesco Tommaso Trevisan, Sarah Nemtsov, and Stefan Beyer (World Premiere)
