Fanna-Fi-Allah brings the timeless tradition of Sufi qawwali to Berlin for a rare live performance at the Festsaal Kreuzberg. Rooted in classical South Asian devotional music, Qawwali is a powerful form of musical expression based on poetry, rhythm, call-and-response singing, and the collective energy created between musicians and audience.

As part of the Sufi practice of sama (spiritual listening), qawwali is known for touching hearts, uplifting spirits and creating an atmosphere of remembrance and presence. Fanna-Fi-Allah conveys this intensity with harmonium, tabla/dholak and choral singing, building rhythmic cycles that are both celebratory and deeply meditative.

For over two decades, the Sufi qawwali ensemble Fanna-Fi-Allah has been regarded worldwide as one of the most important preservers of traditional qawwali music.
In its consistently authentic and traditional form, the group sees itself as a cultural bridge between East and West, carrying a message of universal tolerance to the world that is particularly important in our time.
