Classic Open Air: A Musical Summer Fairy Tale at the Gendarmenmarkt

In the summer of 2027, the Gendarmenmarkt in the heart of Berlin will once again be transformed into an enchanting stage. From July 7 to 11, the Classic Open Air Festival invites you to experience musical highlights amidst the impressive historic backdrop—an incomparable blend of world-class music and romantic summer charm.

The Konzerthausorchester Berlin will open the festival on July 7, 2027, under the direction of Antonello Manacorda. Together with pianist Lukas Sternath, the orchestra will perform works by Beethoven, Debussy, and Ravel.

The festival will conclude on July 11, 2027, with a performance by the successful Italian trio IL VOLO. With classical bel canto, modern pop elegance, and Italian passion, the ensemble captivates millions of fans worldwide.

The Classic Open Air has been a firmly established highlight of Berlin’s cultural calendar for over 30 years and is organized by Media On-Line Management GmbH & Co. Classic Open Air KG, a subsidiary of DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, under the direction of Jacqueline Zich and Sabine Schiller (managing directors) and Mario Hempel (shareholder & partner).

The concerts are planned as open-air events and generally take place regardless of the weather. If the weather makes it impossible to hold the event, please check the organizer’s website.
