Illustrated lecture by Gabriele Radecke and Robert Rauh
Eva Strittmatter, born in Neuruppin in 1930, wrote her first poems as a teenager. Over the years, she experienced her "relationship with nature" as a "constant in her life". On the occasion of her 95th birthday, Strittmatter's hometown commemorated the poet with an exhibition featuring numerous original testimonies from her estate.
Photos of her family and friends, drawings from her primary school days, a school exercise book and her poetry album, letters as well as a childhood story and poems provide an insight into her life and artistic fantasy world.
In preparation for the exhibition, Robert Rauh and co-curator Gabriele Radecke have collected a lot of interesting material and will use it to present Eva Strittmatter's life and work in a lecture.
