The current ‘Parliamentary Jazz Vocalist of the Year’ winner, Emma Smith, makes her eagerly awaited Berlin debut at Zig Zag jazz club, with a special performance that marks a new chapter in her international career.



Fresh from a triumphant world tour with the American supergroup Postmodern Jukebox. With a voice that seamlessly blends classic swing with a fresh, modern energy, Emma has earned a reputation as one of the most exhilarating and versatile jazz vocalists of her generation. Her career has taken her to some of the most prestigious stages in the world, from the Royal Albert Hall to the iconic jazz clubs of the world, where she has captivated audiences with her electrifying performances and magnetic stage presence.


Emma has collaborated with some of the biggest names in jazz and beyond, including Michael Bublé, The Quincy Jones Orchestra, Jeff Goldblum, Gregory Porter, and Bobby McFerrin. Her dynamic artistry extends beyond solo work—she is also a proud member of the renowned vocal harmony group The Puppini Sisters, known for their rich, close harmonies and reimagined takes on jazz and swing classics.


For this special debut Berlin performance, Emma will be joined by an all-star ensemble of top UK jazz musicians. Pianist Jamie Safir—her longtime musical partner—brings his signature sensitivity and spark to the stage, joined by Tom Farmer on double bass and Luke Tomlinson on drums.

Together, they promise a performance rich in spontaneity, soul, and storytelling.Audiences can look forward to a vibrant mix of joyful swing, lush ballads, and reimagined standards, including standout tracks from her acclaimed albums —such as There's No Business like Show Business, Matchmaker, Matchmaker, and You Go To My Head—as well as favourites from Meshuga Baby, including Makin’ Whoopee and Monogamy Blues.
