Who hasn't thought about escaping everyday life? Leaving all the stress of school behind, along with life's big and small problems? How idyllic it would be on a deserted island, how exciting it would be to be with a real band of robbers or the ancient gods – and what does the moon actually look like?
The annually re-formed ensemble of the Unter den Linden Children's Opera House, together with soloists from the State Opera, embarks on an adventurous journey through the various worlds opened up by Jacques Offenbach's rousing melodies in his operettas.
On their furious journey of discovery, they immerse themselves in gripping stories full of wit and imagination.
