Inclusive equestrian sports and riding therapy centre Berlin-Karlshorst

Riding together, growing together

Mensch und Pferd is an inclusive equestrian sports and riding therapy centre near the historic trotting track in Berlin-Karlshorst. Here, people and horses can meet in a relaxed atmosphere.

Thereby therapeutic offers, inclusive equestrian sport and modern infrastructure merge into a unique overall concept. Since 2019, people with and without disabilities have found a barrier-free environment here in which they can grow, learn and heal together with horses.

The spacious 100,000 square metre site offers two indoor riding arenas, a large outdoor arena and three lunging arenas. There is space for up to 90 horses in the stables. The entire facility is designed for inclusion and gives people with different needs access to equestrian sport and therapy. In the spirit of accessibility, all facilities are accessible via ramps and automatic doors.

If there is interest, people with intellectual disabilities are also prepared and accompanied for participation in riding and vaulting competitions organised by Special Olympics. In addition to sports, there are also numerous curative education programmes, such as hippotherapy (DKThR®) or equine-assisted trauma education.
