The Hotel Wilmina in the former Charlottenburg women's prison is part of a listed ensemble from the 19th century. Hidden behind flowing courtyards and lush gardens, the building was carefully transformed into a contemplative retreat in the heart of Berlin by Grüntuch Ernst Architekten in a sensitive dialogue with the existing rooms and traces of previous use. As a family-run hotel with 44 rooms and suites, a roof terrace above the new penthouse and a library, bar, spa and gym, it offers its guests a high degree of peace and comfort. The Wilmina includes the renowned fine-dining restaurant & bar Lovis, the LOTTA day bar for homemade specialities and the in-house bakery Wilmina Brot.
