The Théâtre du Poulet workshop follows on from the production ‘GPO Box No. 211’ and encourages participants to reflect on their own experiences of protest. The focus is on paper as a material, which is drawn on, reshaped and ultimately transformed into a mask.
The artists, Chun-Shing Au and Carmen Lee, are from Hong Kong and, after spending time in Canada and the Czech Republic, currently live in Amsterdam. They use puppets, masks and objects to explore social issues. Alongside their stage productions, they regularly seek direct interaction with the audience through street theatre and participatory projects.
