Do you enjoy being creative? Want to learn more about Islamic art? Are you interested in wood carving? Then you've come to the right place!

Dive into another chapter of Islamic art. Together we'll explore the principles of geometric patterns and how they can be created with wood. Using an example from the Great Mosque of Córdoba in Spain, facilitator and artist Ghaidaa Kotb will introduce you to the principles of this ancient craft technique.

You can take your own work home after the workshop. The workshop is open to people of all ages (15 and up).

The workshop is part of a series offered by the Museum of Islamic Art. One workshop takes place monthly. On April 12, the focus will be on straw inlays, and on May 10, on stucco carving and colored glass.
