Wine tasting with live music and a photo exhibition, show gardens, and a stunning display of Mediterranean plants

The highlight at the Späth Nurseries’ vineyard is the wine market featuring winemakers from various German wine-growing regions. To kick things off, Samuel Beck, known as the “ukulele preacher,” will give a moving concert. Atmospheric live music will also accompany the wine market on Saturday and Sunday.

Family-Owned Wineries from German Wine-Growing Regions

The winemakers are family-run businesses that tend their vineyards with great care and place a high value on natural soil management and gentle, sustainable harvesting and winemaking practices. The following wineries invite you to wine tastings, wine service, and sales at winemaker prices:

Weingut Nickel (Franconia): A true delight with Franconian wines and fine spirits from the distillery // Weingut Fröhlich (Franconia): A family tradition spanning six generations, wines characterized by Franconian elegance and freshness, paired with fruit and terroir // Winzer Eugen Prieur (Palatinate): Wines with complex fruit and delicate spice as well as minerality // Weingut Schaurer (Palatinate): Modernity meets tradition—fine wines and premium spirits from their own distillery // Weingut Zöller-Lagas (Palatinate): Exquisite top-quality wines with character—third-generation wine and sparkling wine production // Weingut Fluhr Eller (Rheinhessen): Organic viticulture with passion and expertise in Rheinhessen’s finest vineyards // Weingut Bendehof by the Winter Winemaking Family (Rheinhessen): Quality wines with clarity, finesse, and character from single-vineyard lots with exceptional terroir // Weingut Jonas (Rheingau): Delicacies from Eltville am Rhein

Mediterranean plant life and culinary delights

Späth’s Gasthaus and the Späthi’s beer garden invite guests to dine under palm trees and amidst Mediterranean plants. The farm shop offers delicious organic cheese and sausage as delicacies to pair with wine. The historic Späth grounds invite you to take a stroll—featuring numerous show gardens and the herb garden with unique garden decor ideas. Around the farm shop fountain, the first blooms of the dahlia show are in full splendor.

Concert on Friday and Live Music on Saturday and Sunday

Samuel Beck, alias Luchtenbeck, will kick off the wine market weekend on a moving note as the “ukulele preacher,” sharing philosophical reflections set to music. On Saturday, Kathi & Maik will provide goosebump-inducing moments with an acoustic set featuring soul, pop, and rock. On Sunday afternoon, singer and guitarist Bernd Bangel will perform traditional tunes, folk songs, and East German rock ballads.

Photo Exhibition in the Garden Biotope by the Carp Pond

Photographer and journalist Ulrike Kopetzky will present her exhibition “Trees and Green Spaces on the Ku’damm and Tauentzien” during the wine market weekend. Through her photographs, the artist also offers a glimpse into the natural history of the two streets—from the construction of the so-called “Knüppeldamm” for Elector Joachim II in 1540 to the present day.
