On his second visit to the Pierre Boulez Saal, the New York bassist will perform with his longtime musical partner, drummer Hamid Drake, and multi-instrumentalist Shabaka in a new trio, presenting a blues-inspired program to the audience for the first time.
“Whenever musicians come together to play music that heals wounds, it is a blessed moment,” says Parker.
With meditative and exuberant sounds, the three artists transform the stage into a place of lived community.
