‘Warm Data’ is a unique urban symphony that takes the viewer into the bustling streets of Toronto through black-and-white footage. Here, every single frame pulsates to the rhythm of the dynamism of urban life – a special gem that contrasts the sober, model-like nature of the world, as presented by quantitative data (‘cold data’), with an unconventional aesthetic approach to the urban system.

In her ‘Expanded Cinema’ performance, the artist and filmmaker Natalia Kozieł-Kalliomäki manually intervenes in the projection of the 16 mm film using live animations: with two overhead projectors, paper silhouettes and a variety of filters, she creates overlays of colour, textures and fascinating patterns, weaving a rich visual narrative.
