texts from the writing workshop for adults
Stories about learning to write and read, about emigrating, or thoughts at the sight of a work of art.

The participants of the writing workshop present their autobiographical and fictional texts - funny, touching, exciting and always drawn from their own inner richness. The results that emerge from the writing impulses are varied and reflect the experiences and style of each individual writer.
Once a month, usually on the first Thursday of each month, the writing workshop meets at the Mark Twain Library. Participants:try their hand at a variety of genres and text types. Whether poems or short stories, second texts or biographical - from the first impulses they develop their own text.
In the reading they present a selection of texts, musically complemented by the pianist Uli Birringer.
As a bookseller, Kirsten Jenne knows her way around literature of all kinds. As an educator and writing coach, she is concerned with encouraging people and dealing with them and their texts respectfully and sensitively.
