Berlin Festival Orchestra

For 30 years, the Festival Orchester Berlin—a multicultural ensemble of musicians from leading European orchestras—has been delighting audiences with works from the Baroque, Viennese Classical, and Romantic periods, complemented by rarely performed pieces.

In these annual concerts, the ensemble pays tribute to the Venetian master Antonio Vivaldi. With his “Four Seasons,” composed in 1725, he created a work that remains fascinating to this day:

four violin concertos that bring nature, animals, and human moods to life through sound as the seasons change.

The program is complemented by other highlights for violin and chamber orchestra by well-known composers. The music is performed on historical Italian instruments—for a particularly warm and authentic sound.
