This latest multimedia creation by MXM [Mirella x Muep], developed in collaboration with Brazilian performer and artist Anete Colacioppo — who is also the artistic director of Acker Stadt Palast — and co-produced by the venue, explores violence as an internalized, symbolic force embedded in everyday life.


Since 2006, MXM has crafted a singular and internationally acclaimed artistic language in live expanded cinema, blending audiovisual composition with spatial and conceptual experimentation. Their innovative work has been presented at leading festivals and venues worldwide, earning praise for its poetic and immersive quality that dissolves the boundaries between performance, installation, and concert.


The duo’s longstanding relationship with Acker Stadt Palast began over a decade ago. Since 2015, the venue has hosted the annual premiere of a new MXM production — fostering a shared commitment to experimentation, autonomy, and artistic dialogue.


GEWALT continues this trajectory while deepening the collaboration with Colacioppo. Using sound and light as dramaturgical elements, the piece constructs an immersive environment where tension, collapse, and transformation unfold through a choreography of sensorial experiences.


GEWALT also inaugurates PINK YOU FEST – MXM 10 Years Berlin, a month-long celebration of the duo’s influential creative journey in Berlin. Throughout November 2025, the festival will feature a multidisciplinary program of contemporary artists, performances, and expanded experiences.
