In addition to the founding phase and the first years of the cultural institution, the prehistory of the building, which was erected in 1923, and its residents also play a role – three biographies that could hardly be more different: a Jewish textile merchant, a German nationalist manager and a National Socialist film functionary.
Dr Christian Welzbacher is a historian, publicist and exhibition organiser. Among other things, he researches the history of the Haus am Waldsee and published the text "The Haus am Waldsee and its residents. An attempt at an approach".
The tour will be held in German language.
