n their interactive Zoom performance, the theater collective Turbo Pascal makes social differences and the question of one's own position visible and negotiable in a playful way for and with a young audience.
People have drawn different lots in the lottery of life. They all look different and unique. They live in different parts of the city. After primary school, they are sorted into different schools. They speak different languages. They have different hobbies. They are sorted by gender. Some laugh loudly and some laugh quietly. They don't all have the same amount of money. They have different dreams and desires.
People are different from each other. Differences and distinctions between people are a mixed blessing. Some are voluntary and some involuntary, some visible and some invisible. What is certain is that we grow into social orders and classifications. And that the Covid pandemic is exacerbating social inequalities and injustices and making them more apparent.
