Trick or treat

No gravestone will be left standing, so you’d best start looking for a few dead, undead or half-dead souls to join you as you battle your way through the four chapters of this horror show until the haunting is over.

If, even as children, you used to hear voices coming from the flickering telly after the programmes had finished, if you head straight for the ghost train at every funfair, and if your happy place is Bran Castle in Transylvania, then you’ve come to the right place. But even if, when you hear ‘Halloween’ and ‘horror’, all you can think of is a cemetery, and even as adults you switch off during *Bambi* when it gets too thrilling, you’re still very welcome and can win.

All you need to take part is a reasonably alert mind, a bit of general knowledge, or – if need be – a few supernatural powers, witch’s spells and curses, or simply the street smarts of your team of up to six people.

And because a proper Halloween bash calls for the right look, you’re of course welcome to come in fancy dress. Whether you’re a vampire, a werewolf, a walking skeleton or a grumpy office mummy – the creepier, the better.
