Airports are hubs where the contradictions of a globalised world – in which goods can circulate freely whilst people are stopped at borders – are particularly evident.

‘Transport: Connecting Flights’ follows a refugee family through the terminal: a place of both hope and despair, where prejudices and institutional barriers are painfully brought to the fore.

Against the backdrop of European migration policy, the Białystok Puppet Theatre calls for accountability and reminds us that people shape the world through their actions – or their silence. ‘Transport’ is a six-part theatre series celebrated across Europe that explores the implications of mobility in a globalised world.

All productions utilise bespoke set designs featuring realistically rendered spaces, buildings, streets and public infrastructure, populated by 3D-printed puppets. With a style of performance inspired by animated film and a 3D soundscape, an immersive experience is created for the audience.
