Every day, between 20 and 50 million lorries are on the roads worldwide. They supply us with goods and keep the economy running. At the same time, however, the industry contributes to environmental pollution and regularly violates workers’ rights.

Using the example of a lorry driver under time pressure, the Maribor Puppet Theatre explores this systemic conflict: driven by obstacles piling up on the motorway, a chance encounter takes place at night, leading to a disaster the following morning.

‘Transport: Cargo’ explores responsibility, justice and the environmental costs of consumption.

‘Transport’ is a six-part theatre series acclaimed across Europe that explores the impacts of mobility in a globalised world. All productions utilise individually crafted scenography featuring realistically designed spaces, buildings, streets and public infrastructure, populated by 3D-printed characters. With a style of performance inspired by animated film and a 3D soundscape, an immersive experience is created for the audience.
