Citadel Music Festival
Trailerpark is simultaneously an independent German hip-hop label, band, and music collective. With openness, intelligence, and biting humor, Trailerpark deliberately provokes – hardly anyone escapes their scrutiny. Current social developments are consciously exaggerated, caricatured, and pushed to the extreme.
Trailerpark was founded in 2009 by rappers Skinny Shef and Timi Hendrix, who initially performed as the duo Pimpulsiv. That same year, they released their first album, "H.U.R.Z.," whose title inevitably evokes memories for many of Hape Kerkeling's legendary performance as a classical singer. Provocative statements and polarizing content have been the collective's trademark from the very beginning.
The members only partially accept comparisons to other German acts – instead, they see themselves more in the tradition of the Bloodhound Gang. With satirical wit and a conscious commitment to pushing boundaries, Trailerpark has released numerous albums and mixtapes over the years that entertain, provoke, and spark discussions in equal measure.
