Susan Hiller – 'Bad Dreams', KOO JEONG A – 'OUSSSEAN'

On all three dates, experienced art educators will guide visitors through the exhibitions *Bad Dreams* by Susan Hiller and *OUSSSEAN* by KOO JEONG A.

*Bad Dreams* is the first retrospective exhibition of Hiller’s work in Berlin – a city that shaped her artistic practice in the early 2000s.

The exhibition explores the artist’s ongoing engagement with a question that remains highly relevant to our present day:

How are personal and collective imaginations shaped and revealed through images and objects, mass media and popular culture?

Since the early 1990s, KOO JEONG A (* 1967, KR) has been working with a variety of materials and formats, creating works that play with human perception and connect it to forces that lie beyond the visible. The audience is invited to reflect on the extent to which they leave the interpretation or perception of a thing, a place or a moment to their senses.

OUSSSEAN is KOO’s first major solo exhibition in Germany and in Berlin, where the artist lived in the 1990s and 2000s.

  • The guided tours will be held alternately in German and English.
