Oliver Rohrbeck, the voice of Justus Jonas from the cult series “The Three Investigators,” will go on tour again in 2027 alongside sound effects artist Jörg Klinkenberg.

The story *The Three Investigators: Night of Fear* has been reimagined exclusively for the stage—and Oliver will bring it to life together with selected fans.

Jörg Klinkenberg creates the soundscape in real time, using everyday objects, surprising effects, and the intuition that comes only from years of experience. Add to that carefully selected music and detailed sound design—and the result is a show that cannot be planned, recorded, or repeated exactly the same way. An entertaining evening for radio drama fans of all ages—exciting, creative, and absolutely unique.

Episode Synopsis: The Three Investigators—Night of Fear

Friday evening, 8:25 p.m., Steadman Museum, Los Angeles: Mr. Peacock, the friendly but absent-minded museum director, enters the building with Justus, Peter, and Bob. In a few minutes, the three detectives will get an exclusive look at the world’s most valuable diamond: the famous Fire of the Moon. 8:28 p.m.: The lights go out in the museum. Power outage? Sabotage? 8:30 p.m.: Five gangsters break into the museum. Shortly afterward, Mr. Peacock and the Three Investigators find themselves at their mercy. The criminals want the diamond, and they’re willing to stop at nothing to get it.

The Online Casting

If you want to do more than just watch—you want to be part of the show—now’s your chance. The Lauscherlounge hosts a casting call for every tour date—applicants submit a video in advance, Oliver Rohrbeck personally reviews the submissions, and puts together his cast for each performance—a task he approaches with just as much care as the live radio play itself. For many fans on past tours, this has made a dream come true. The casting call will begin in the summer of 2027—details will be available on the Lauscherlounge website at that time.
