Special Exhibition

The photographer Thomas Meyer, a member of the OSTKREUZ agency, set out to explore Berlin from 2017 to 2024.

Where in the city can the division still be felt today? Where can it still be seen? His colour photographs, taken in digital medium format, were captured over the course of eight years, across different seasons, along the inner-city stretch of the Wall.

The images depict places that once made history, as well as the disappearance of the Wall. Through the overlapping layers of history and the present, and the traces of Germany’s division within the city, he also documents Berlin’s urban development.
