The author Luna Ali will read from her book "Da waren Tage" (There were days), which deals with memories of the 2011 uprising in Syria in poetic language. In a joint discussion, they will build a bridge to the revolution of 1848 - and ask how political upheavals are remembered, passed on or suppressed.

The author:
Luna Ali, born in Syria in 1993, studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim, literary writing at the German Literature Institute and anthropology at the University of Leipzig. She has worked as an author on productions at theaters in Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Hanover and Berlin, among others. in 2023 she received the working scholarship for German-language literature from the Berlin Senate Department. She lives in Berlin with her five flatmates.
