It’s all about winter: the joy of sledging and slipping and sliding, bundling up – then taking it all off again. Snow swirls through the air and covers the branches of the apple tree.

A snowflake drifts into the mousehole and wakes little Jakob. He discovers his first winter wonderland: snow – sooo beautiful, but sooo bitterly cold! What can you do with it? A ball – a man – a snowman!
Jakob celebrates the joys of winter and, in the evening, sinks tiredly into his cosy winter nest.
