Thanksgiving

Program

• 11:00 a.m.: Open-air service in front of the Stiftkirche with Stift Director Pastor Anne Hanhörster and Stift residents. The Stift choir, as well as the children’s and youth choirs, will also perform under the direction of Stift cantor Nadine Klusacsek.
• 12:00 p.m.: The booths are open, with music groups performing on several stages, dancing, food and drinks, plenty of activities for children, and events throughout the grounds of the Evangelical Johannesstift, all at family-friendly prices
• Approx. 12:30 p.m.: Distribution of harvest bread
• 2:00 p.m.: Traditional harvest festival parade
• 3:00 p.m.: Ceremonial presentation of the harvest wreath
• 6:00 p.m.: Contemplative closing ceremony in the Stiftskirche
• 7:00 p.m.: Candlelight closing ceremony on the church forecourt with tower trumpeters

Getting There

We recommend traveling by public transportation. The M45 bus line terminates at the Johannesstift and runs there every minute. There are no free parking spaces available. A limited number of parking spaces are available for a fee.
