Works for two Pianos and Free Improvisation
Classical modernism and contemporary music, intellectual reflection and playful creativity: Tamara Stefanovich’s latest program brings together different facets of her artistic personality.
Together with Nenad Lečić, Tamara Stefanovich performs music for two pianos, including Claude Debussy’s *Jeux* and Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s *Monologe* (1964), in which the composer quotes from Debussy’s work.
In the improvised second half of the evening, Stefanovich then demonstrates, with her avant-garde quartet SDLW (Stefanovich, Dell, Lillinger, Westergaard), how something new and unexpected can emerge from the moment.
