Since its premiere in the 1840s, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Violin Concerto has been regarded as one of the most significant instrumental works of its time.

It captivates with its catchy melodies and harmonic sophistication. Maurice Ravel’s ballet music for *Daphnis et Chloé*, composed in 1912, is considered the pinnacle of French Impressionism.

Floating timbres and a wordless chorus bring Greek mythology to life in an impressive musical way. Symphony Concert VIII with François-Xavier Roth brings both together at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
