Public Tour I Sun., Nov. 22 I 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m.
Today’s tour focuses on the stories of native plants in mythology and fairy tales.
Before the advent of modern botany, plants were important mythological allies to humankind. They watched over villages, possessed healing properties or were home to tree spirits. This guided tour will highlight key examples from our local natural world and take you on a journey through the outdoor areas of the Botanical Garden to explore their biological and historical legacies.
On this Sunday tour, you’ll experience the unique grounds on a walk through the outdoor areas – or, in the event of rain, in the greenhouses. Discover the seasonal highlights!
