We invite you to a screening of The Woman, the Orphan and the Tiger (2010) by artist Jane Jin Kaisen and filmmaker Guston Sondin-Kung.

Through a poetic and visually striking language, the film interweaves Korean mythology with personal and historical narratives of migration, memory, and transnational adoption. Beginning with the history of Korean War orphans, the work unfolds a multilayered reflection on identity, loss, and belonging.

Following the screening, Jane Jin Kaisen and artist Guston Sondin-Kung will join the audience live online for a conversation about the making of the film, its research background, and the historical and emotional dimensions of the stories it explores.

The audience is invited to experience the film collectively and engage directly with the artists in discussion.

The event takes place in the context of the exhibition All Under Heaven. Harmony in Family and State at the Museum für Asiatische Kunst in the Humboldt Forum.
